Time to get rowdy

As most people know, football season is here and people are ready to get loud and proud! The student section at Southeastern Oklahoma State University has not always been loud and supportive like you see other colleges all over social media. This year, it is all about to change.

Danny Hair, a freshman majoring in Aviation at SOSU, has stepped up to take leadership of the student section. Danny was one of the leaders at a 6A school called Lewisville High School in Lewisville, Texas.

“Back home we were called the Rowdy Crowd because there was a lot of yelling, new chants, and we would run all over the place and get into the other teams head.” Danny said. The student section does get the football players hyped up and they love to see their friends and family cheering them on. It lets the players know that they are being watched and supported.

When there is a big school, school spirit starts with the football team- it’s the first sport of the season that gets everyone excited. “There is no “I” in team…we’re going to be loud and proud every chance we get and rally up all the support the boys need to win it all this year,” said Danny. Danny plans on bringing a little bit of home with him as he leads the Savage Storm student section.
